He Is Not Here; He Has Risen!
“On the first day of the week, very early in the morning, the women took the spices they had prepared and went to the tomb. They found the stone rolled away from the tomb, but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. While they were wondering about this, suddenly two men in clothes that gleamed like lightening stood beside them. ‘Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here; he is risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still in Galilee: ‘The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.’ ‘ Then they remembered his words.” (Luke 24: 1-8)
He is risen! He is risen Indeed!!!
We do not follow a Savior who’s words were empty, who’s promises fall flat. We do not follow a Savior who was defeated by death. NO! Our Savior lives! He is alive! He defeated death, hell and the grave so that we may have eternal life!
This day brings so much joy, hope and celebration! Today, this Easter day, is why we call the day of Jesus’ death Good Friday. Without his death on the cross, we could not have his resurrection, his saving grace….his eternal Salvation!
Run, tell others of this good news. Shout and sing praises of joy! For today our Savior has risen from the grave!
My prayer for you is that you feel the joy this day brings. May you share this joy with others around you, shout His name to all, tell of his Resurrection. I pray this day brings you much peace and comfort in a troubled world. May you find examples of Christ’s love for you all around you! Happy Easter! He is risen; He is Risen indeed!
See you on the front porch.
